Virginia Jellyfish Report Guide

Data Deletion

Our Facebook app stores no user data. Here is how deletion requests work anyway.

Data deletion

The Virginia Jellyfish Report Facebook app exists for one purpose: publishing the daily jellyfish forecast to our own Facebook page. It does not sign users in, and it does not collect, store, or process any Facebook user data. There is no user data held by this app to delete.

What the app can access

The app holds permissions only for the Virginia Jellyfish Report Facebook page itself, which we operate. It never requests permissions for other people's accounts, profiles, friends, or messages.

Requesting deletion anyway

If you believe this app or this website holds information about you, email [email protected] and we will investigate and delete anything we find, then confirm back to you. Please include enough detail for us to search, such as the Facebook name or email address involved.

Website data

The website itself has no accounts and sets no cookies of its own. For the full picture of the little we do handle, see the privacy policy.

Check Today's Jellyfish Report

See the current jellyfish outlook for Virginia beaches, rivers, and bay access points.

Source maps are model guidance from VIMS and NOAA/NCCOS. They are useful for a quick beach check, but they do not count jellyfish in the water and may not match conditions at every shoreline.
