Hilton Beach is a small James River beach tucked behind Hilton Elementary School in historic Hilton Village, Newport News. It pairs a short stretch of sand with a saltwater fishing pier and open river views. This is a neighborhood-scale spot rather than a big beach park, so people come to fish off the pier, wade near shore, and enjoy the water close to home.
The surrounding Hilton Village is a walkable historic district of shops and old streets, which makes the beach an easy add-on to a stroll or a bite nearby. Parking is on the neighborhood streets around the pier.
